Reunited

Stories of people reuniting with first/original/birth/Vietnamese families and ‘biological’ relatives* such as soldiers who fathered children during the Vietnam War, siblings, grandparents, foster/care families & information gathering.

  • Search for birth siblings (Theosophic orphanage) – Found 2011
  • Jessica Emmett – Foster Family Found (2011)
  • My Huong Le – Birth Mother Found (2009)
  • Thanh Campell – Man reunites with family in Vietnam after 35 years (2009)
  • Suanne Prager – Birth Mother Found (2008)
  • Amerasian Family Finder – Birth Mother Found (2007)
  • Emmanuelle (Lê Thi My Hoang) – Birth Father Found (2006)
  • Geoff Bernhardt – Nguyen Thi Bong (host family sister) found (2005)
  • Ngo Minh Tuan – Birth Sister Found (2004)

  • Heidi Bubb (Daughter from Danang) – Birth Mother Found (2001)
  • Tina Lam – Biological Uncle Found (2000)
  • Nola Wunderle (Adoptive Parent) – Biological Grandparents Found (2000)

*Not all individuals use the term ‘birth family’ and some find the term too simplistic and non-respectful of the complexities involved in mothers’ feelings of connections to children they became separated from at orphanages and through international adoption.
