Hello,

My name is Emmanuelle and I was adopted at the age of 3 years old by a French family, on December 22nd 1972. I was born Le Thi My Hoàng and I grew up at the orphanage LA PROVIDENCE in Sadec Hoa-Khanh, in the Mekong Delta, then I stayed for a month at the To Am orphanage, before leaving for France.

I have had the great chance to find a part of my biological family, in April 2006, thanks to a Canadian Vietnamese family and their family living in Vietnam, to whom I will be eternally grateful. Since, I try to return to Vietnam every year (not evident), to visit my family and to do research for some adoptees. I also take this opportunity to enlarge my local volunteer network and keep them motivated.

All of this has given me the desire to build a website (it is under construction) and its essential goal is the assistance to local research, for the Vietnamese adoptees of all generations.

For the French Vietnamese adoptees, do not hesitate to go on the website  www.originesvietnam.com created by Chi, who is a bank of information and on the blog of Dorothée http://fr.360.yahoo.com/dorocal66. To conclude, I would like to thank warmly Indigo and the AVI Team for allowing me to testify on the AVI website and their devotion towards the adoptees, the generosity, the enormous work that they accomplish and most of all, that we all SHARE…

(Original French below)

Bonjour,
